We have a tendency to learn a great deal relatively quickly. In any endeavor you have undertaken, the jump from knowing absolutely nothing to being at least conversant, is fairly quick. Many people fall into this “jack of all trades, master of none” philosophy and mistake moderate proficiency with mastery. You must continue to up the stakes and push yourself beyond your comfort zone if you are to continue to grow and truly attain self-mastery.
- You have never been doing something too long to learn
- The greatest masters understand that there is a lesson in every situation
- You must seek out opportunities to push yourself and break through your limitations and comforts
